I would like to thank all the responsible for the contest named “Oscar” for inviting me to be a judge. I enjoyed every performance very much, as they were bright, unusual and prepared with great care and diligence. I can state with great pleasure that the students of the Institute are really talented, artistic and enthusiastic. Besides their artistic abilities, it’s important to acknowledge their English language skills. A strong command of grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary was presented by each of the students. So I got only positive impressions of the event. As a recommendation I would advise to turn to some drama also, where the linguistic aspect may be displayed in full.

К.Г. Коровина (член жюри):

I’d like to express my great «thank you» to all the responsible of the event called «Oscar»! It was amazing! I can’t help telling the students that they are really stars and no matter who has won, the performances are in the history of our faculty. The only thing I want to find fault with is the amount of songs in some of the groups — from my point of view it’s not fair to use a song and just open your mouths. What is more, it’s not the singing contest and we are to judge upon the pronunciation, grammar and so on. But generally speaking, Great job!
